What is the going rate for a trained SWAT Operator who is able to train others?

I am doing a research paper for college class on rates for SWAT / Specialized Trainers for training American Contractors working here in CONUS and also who may be used overseas to train others that are approved by the US State Department. I have heard everything from ridiculous rates of 210 per day to a midrange of 450 to 850 US dollars. This also would be similar to programs I have seen on the History Channel on Private Armies or contractors who are deployed overseas. Can anyone comment on this to help me understand these ranges of pay and what they mean in terms of experience? I have read Singers "Corporate Warriors" that was a good book on military contractors and its origins going back to the early Merc outfits, but it did not talk about price structures and experience levels. I want to get a good grade in this class, but I need some help with this.

Thanks!!

The first question I would ask myself is, "If I were knowingly going into harms way while a civilian, how much would I want to be paid per day?"

$210? The truth of the matter is that I spent 34 years in my profession. At the time of retirement I was making $236 per hour plus per diem. And...no one was shooting at me.

I know that a local agency that supplies VIP body guards that offers to pay up to $250 per day. However, one must be trained by the agency and their courses are not cheap.
