What is the difference betweeen a S&W Model 25-2 and a 25-5?

The 25-2 is chambered for .45 ACP in clips or .45 Auto Rim.
The 25-5 is chambered for .45 "Long" Colt.
Ammo and cylinders are not interchangeable.

The S&W Model 25-2 is in 45ACP (and also chamber 45AutoRim).
I have one of these and it is also marked Model 1955 on the barrel, and Model 25-2 on frame inside the crane. My gun has a 6.5" barrel, target(wide serrated) trigger, and target hammer.

The S&W Model 25-5 is apparently the 45Colt version, has a longer cyclinder to accomodate that caliber. The 45Colt is, of course, the same round used in the Colt Single Action revolver of westward fame.
