My personal favorite: Winchester USA.[/quote]

I'll second that motion :D

My favorite is whichever of the following is available for the lowest price when I'm in the shopping mood. All shoot about the same:

Sellier & Bellot, MagTech, IMI, Denel, PMP. All 115gr FMJ.

I generally get S&B for $123 a case, delivered from www.Natchezss.com, but you'll see Denel at some places for $110 delivered, too. That around (or slightly below) $6 a box of 50.

My vote goes to Winchester (white box) as well. 115 gr FMJ is $5.99 a box. Shoots relatively clean and has decent accuracy. However, don't get the WinClean stuff in my opinion. Though some TFL'ers disagree, I've found that while it does shoot clean, accuracy is poor.

Winchester USA 115gr FMJ. $6.99 a box at WalMart and they've always got plenty on hand.

I did a comparison with Wolf, UMC, S&B, and Winchester one day at the range. CZ75B at 10 yards. Hands down Winchester winner.

I like Sellier & Bellot and Winchester USA. Natchez, 800-251-7839, usually has good prices on S&B. I have tried a few boxes of the Denel/PMP; at $110 per 1000 delivered, it is very tempting.

Winchester, Fiocchi, UMC (no bad experience yet), and Sellier & Bellot.

I just bought a case of Wolf 115gr for $100/1000rds. It seems to be pretty good. I also like the S&B round too. :)

Well i was shooting winchester but it left a golden something. I don't know what it is. It think it is brass particles but it is not metal it is soft. It is really hrad to clean all the particles out. So i shoot Remington UMC's and they don't leave the same particles so i shoot it. I can get it for $6.00.

I'll third that motion............and its carried. (sound of my meat tenderizing "gavel" hitting the cutting board.)

I had some friends come in this week on short notice. I ordered some new bullets at the beginning of the week (1000) to reload and take them shooting by today. Since the order won't come in until next week, I went out and bought 3 boxes of "cheap" practice ammo at the gun shops. That stuff cost almost as much as my order of bullets when you factor in cost of gas to get them!!! I know that they have overhead and have to make a profit, but the few shop around here that sell handgun ammo charge over 100% of what I can order it for!

To answer your question. If you want to do a lot of shooting and don't mind spending a bunch to get started; invest in a single stage press, or get a good reasonably priced progressive press like the Lee Load Master. In the long run you'll save yourself a bunch more, or at least do a lot more shooting w/out spitting quarters down range.
