What is the BEST AK clone currently avialable in US?

I am just wondering, what is the best AK clone around?
I have couple, including Bulgarian SA-93 with milled reciever and Polytech Legend underfolder. These, I thought were the best ones, barring Soviet
AKM and AK-74 select fire specimens ( not avieleble in US for the most part)
Also, how is the quality on those SAR I and II rifles that use Romanian reciever and US trigger group parts?
 
SAR's are not nicely finished, but they shoot. Isnt that what an AK is know for, butt ugly and works no matter what :) As far as I know if you get the later SAR's the US internals will be alright (early ones had "soft" parts). The biggest worry is having canted sights, again mostly with early ones!

If you just want an AK type rifle to go have fun with a SAR is fine, though I would say go with a SAR-2! Those will turn Clay piegeons @100-200 yards into dust each shot with open sights (for me anyways).
 
The VEPR II, while a little heavy and lacking the wood furniture, is unrivaled in its fit and finish and quality of manufacture. If the Russians can still make one thing very well, its their AKs.
