What is state of the art in AR suppressors?

I have this 11.5" and though the Noveske flash hider helps with the blast from the shooters perspective, I want to go ahead and get a full size suppressor.

What are the top performers now in an AR/5.56 combination?

Thanks!

The Gemtech M4-96D is an awesome suppressor. It is great because of the QD mount and its durability for full or burst fire. The Gemtech M4-02 is great as well and lighter weight, but not rated for full auto and very limited burst fire. The loudest sound IMHO is the bullet flight noise as it breaks the sound barrier. About like an unsuppressed .22lr or maybe a little quieter. I have heard that the AAC Ranger is pretty good too, about like the M4-02, but I have no experience with that particular piece. Check out this link for anything you want to know about suppressors http://www.silencertests.com

SoundTech is the quietest. I have an M4-96D and I wish I'd have bought a 308 can instead. It's just not easy to make a 223 really quiet.

Hooseirdaddy is right, you really can't make a .223 very quiet at all. The only reason I want to suppress it is because I like to shoot it w/o ear protection seeing as I shoot it a LOT!:D
