What is out there for SxS hammerguns?

So far after digging around all over the place all I can find is the Remmington-spartan SP220. (Which I think is the EAA bounty hunter?)
For some reason I feel the need for a hammergun, I would prefer new, but I am not opposed to a decent used firearm. It's just that the used SxS's I have seen are very old.
What is out there?

If youre looking for a Coach Gun norinco also makes a hammered side by side, as does.. Ardco? Arco? Adco maybe. I read about it briefly in Guns magazine. It ran for 499 or so. If you search gunbroker for "coach" in shotguns you should turn up a couple. Hope that helps a bit!

not nearly enough! Cowboy shooters have gobbled them all up it seems.

The Remington Spartan is the same as the EAA IIRC, a BAIKAL (sp?) made in Russia. The samples I've seen have very poor fitting wood, rough action, etc.

The Norincos I've seen are about the same.


No one can seem to explain why a quality SxS has to cost $2000+. Wood, reciever, forearm and 2 bbls. Is there so much labor involved that the price is outrageous?

I'm looking for a used Rossi Overland myself, have been looking a while.
