Attend a match in your neighborhood. There is a club listing on the website.There are books and videos on shooting the matches.

What is it in general and how can I get into it.

4. Find a local club, check their website for events - practice nights - and go up there.
5. Talk to the IDPA "old guys" to see what's involved. Ask questions. Watch a match. Get a safety briefing and shoot a practice session with them.
6. Join the club, IDPA, and have lotsa fun!
