What is a S & W "356TSW"?

I bought two "69 series" mags for my 469. One has "356TS&W" stamped on it with the S & W logo. It fits my gun and works fine. What does this mean?

The .356 was a very short lived Performance Center gun/cartridge combination a couple of years ago.

I THINK that the .356 TSW cartridge was a beefed up .38 Super designed to easily make major, but I'm not entirely certain about that.

Beware the man with the S&W .357 Mag.
Chances are he knows how to use it.

The .356TSW was basically a 9x19mm round loaded to very high pressures and lengthened by about 2mm so it wouldn't chamber in 9x19mm pistols. The idea was to create a high performance round that would fit in pistols designed around the 9x19mm cartridge.
