what is a good business that makes custom grips?

Deja vu

I have been looking for some custom grips for a Coonan 357 magnum. After hours of searching the internet I found 1 business that has a poor reputation.

Is there a business out there that is reputable that will make grips for a Coonan I am looking for Ivory or Pearl.

p.s. would I have to provide the entire gun or would a set of factory grips work?

Sarge at the Finer Grain makes some nice grips. I'll summarize a quote I saw from him regarding custom made grips but they are very, very expensive as they are usually one off pieces. You'll also need to let them have the gun to ensure proper fit. If you want something made from ivory or pearl, I assume you have a thick wallet.

Here's the Sarge's site http://thefinergrain.com/

You should be able to email him from his site.

Sarge has two Coonans on order, so he will soon have a Kentucky blueprint. :)

He makes very nice grips at a fair price. Take a look at his website to get an idea of his work.

thank you guys!

I do not see any Pearl, I do like the Ivory though. I sent him an e-mail about getting some grips.

I get the impression that he is retired military... Its good to support our troops both active and retired!

If you're looking for really hi grade grips, I'd try Cary Chapman at CLC grips. His work is 2nd to none and the wood is superb. Not cheap, but you get more than your money's worth, a set of grips that will draw comments for decades. Best of luck, Rodfac

I like sarges page and will probably order from him. The ivory and the snake skin are both way cool.

Any one know a place that makes custom Pearl grips... I am leaning toward ivory but would like to see some pearl ones as well.
