This is the opposite of the other poll. What influential members of your community (that you know personally) are ANTI-RKBA?

Again, the poll allows multiple answers and the categories are arbitrary. Please answer for people in your own community, not for elected officials and not for professional lobbyists.

Other media types can be lumped under Business Professionals.

Please feel free to specify any other in a post. There are a lot of influential farmers in my community but none that I know are rabid antis.

My wife teaches 1st grade, most of her co-workers are anti. She can count the ones that are pro on one hand.

M&M,

You forgot to put in as a choice: Your local city counsel, your state representative.

We have the U of O here, as well as Lane Community College, yes, most of the professors are stereotypical libs.

Then we have Rep. Vicki Weaver (no relation that I know of) that want's to run for Governor. Her and Burdick are rabid and she's never seen a gun control law (up to and including banning) that she didn't love.

Four (or five now, I think we lost a seat) of our city counsel members are lib to the gills, they live, breathe, and eat the kool-aid. They are very anti-gun.

Then we have a chapter of the MMM, but they are non-functioning in any real sense, one of their board is off the city counsel.

We have Wildish and Pape' here that plays a great role in this area. They vote democrat because it's a "union thing" and they are one issue voters (labor) as most of us are here for the RKBA.

The EPD chief is very anti-gun. He's still pissed that the Sheriffs has the authority to issue the CCW's (or CHL's if you wish) and not him. He has his "plans" on how he would go about it... basically, take Oregon or at least the county back to the "may issue" years.

Our Mayor, Kitty Piercie(sp), is trying to toe the line because Eugene is about 51/49 (libs/conservatives if you wish to use those terms) and knows that the balance of power could shift. But, she is in agreement with Vicki Walker on the issues, so even if she doesn't say anything, it's quite clear.

I will have to say, my job has opened my eyes to politics like you wouldn't believe. Everything in the state is connected somehow to our business and I've personally met many of the people that I've talked about above. I will admit that Vicki Weaver is likeable, she has some great ideas, but until she gets off the gun control and banning (party line), there is no way in heck that I would even think about voting for her.

As for our Rep. in D.C., DeFazio, he's a weird old bird, pro-2nd (he doesn't toe the party line, he is absoluty against it but I didn't bother to see how he voted on the brady bill, maybe I should.

No I didn't forget, I specifically excluded politicians. i'm talking about REAL people who have gained influence by succeeding in real life endeavors rather than the parasite class. The idea is to gather information about the ones count rather than the ones who think they count.

Hmmmm

Sorry, MeekAndMild, I couldn't vote.

I know way too many people who simply do not think protecting the 2nd Amendment is important, and so do not focus on striving to elect officials or legislators that are pro-RKBA.

So, no one I know is outright anti-RKBA. They are just apathetic to the point of being equally dangerous. I see no category of poll for these people.

Good question, though - interesting results.......
:)
