What have you done to your KelTec P-11?

I know that there are fifty-eleven different things that you can do and add to your P-11, but I am wanting to know what people are really suggesting on a P-11. I am about to purchase a P-11 with hard chrome and hopefully get night sites on it. What else would you do to it? ie. lighter trigger, different slide rod, etc.

Please advise...

Mine just got back from her trip to Florida to be parkerized ($15 plus shipping and they sent me a free steel guide rod and recoil springs). Other than that, I have added stiffer Wolfe recoil springs, the mag finger extension, a Pachmeyr slip on grip, and a couple of drops of glow in the dim paint since I'm too cheap to buy night sights. Recoil is very tame now. Without a doubt my favorite pistol and the one that spends all day on my hip. And I can't forget about the belt clip, it's a must have.

Nothin'. Just shoot it a lot. Shot it today, in fact. Fust for fun, I bench-rested it at 15 yards. Best group was 2". Winchester white-box ammo. Probably doesn't impress you, but it impressed me.

Hard chrome slide, parkerized barrel, metal guide rod, and nightsights. I tried the trigger shoe and didn't like it.

What didn't you like about the trigger shoe? Was it the feel, or just that it's a PIA to keep on? I was going to order one this week, but I haven't heard alot of good things about them. Maybe I'll just get another mag instead.

Mine has the belt clip (which I LOVE!),smooth trigger shoe, strips of skateboard tape on the front and backstraps, orange painted front sight dot,F&B,White trigger overtravel stop (as per KTOG). The belt clip is a must try. I really like the trigger shoe,it spreads out the force of the trigger pull making it "feel" lighter and even more importantly it now indexes the trigger perfectly under my trigger finger which makes it easier for me to shoot well in rapid draw and fire drills. The other stuff is just icing. It didn`t need the F&B,it worked great. I just like to tinker with stuff. Ditto the "trigger stop",it helps a tiny bit but it`s not necessary. Marcus

I've got the steel guide rod (although the polymer one worked fine), the trigger shoe and the grip extender.
Don't get any accessories until you shoot it first and then consider what you might want to put on yours. As mentioned, see the "tec werks" link at http://www.ktog.org and other links there. Some of the extras are personal preference, you've got to decide what you want. Also see http://www.goldenloki.com

I'm with gopher didn't care for kel-tec at all, but we don't have any carry laws here so i was limited to range only. I didn't want to spend the time to get used to that 8 or 10 lb. trigger-sold it-bought a kimber

What didn't you like about the trigger shoe?
It just didn't feel right, and it wouldn't stay on either :).

I got the grip extender, but it defeats the purpose of a concealed firearm. I keep the extender on my spare mag, which I also carry.

IMO good accessories are spare mag (or 2), finish upgrade on the slide, and better sights.

My $.02

I carry daily..either my Sig 239 .40 or my P11. Usually the P11 gets more use because of it's weight and size. I polished the outside of the chamber...put on the trigger shoe(aluminum without grooves and polished) and I CAREFULLY put slight holes to sink the set screws with lock tight...I have the Parkerized version. I have also done the fluff and puff stuff on KTOG and put on the trigger stop. When I go to the range ..everyone wants to know what it is and shoot it...then they want one. Amazingly enuff, most of the same holsters fit the Sig and the P11. they are both great guns. I have pics...but I have no idea how to get them on here.
