What handgun are you TRULY SATISFIED with?

I have owned many handguns. And traded many, because there was just something I didn't like about them. The only handgun I can't bring myself to part with is a Colt CCO. How about you?

Glock 23. Never had a single problem, feels just right in my hand. Carries great. I love my other glocks but the 23 is still my favorite. byerly

Makarov East German 9x18; Smith & Wesson Model 41; Walther TPH .22; Glock 19 with Tritium sights! In that order. That's all after 30 plus years of searching for the right ones. The reasons are identicle -- accuracy and dependability.

I don't plan on parting with any handguns, (except a Walther TPH if I can find someone who a) wants it and b) I really, really dis-like) but the two I'm most attached to are an elderly Ruger Mark I bull barrel and an almost equally elderly Series 70 Government Model.

My favorite carry piece is my Beretta Cougar 8040. It has enough power to knock down just about anything. It fits my hand great (I don't have humungous hands). It is bigger than a snubbie but smaller than a full framed 1911. Plus being Beretta, do I need to mention quality that I never doubt?

Satisfied with my KelTec P-11.
VERY satisfied.
Actually I am satisfied with all my guns.
Mostly thanks to this board and more like it,
my purchases have been well researched.

And if you hear from my Louise, won't you tell her I love her so?

Every Ruger MkII Ive ever touched.
I have one that has over a hundred thousand rounds through it easy.
Still goes bang every time.

Ruger 'Six' series DA revolvers; coming up on 20 yrs of hard use on mine. The only thing that wears out on them is the forcing cone after too many 357/125s. The 4" is concealable, not too heavy, quick, and with the proper grips fits me perfectly. I shoot it better on a bad day than anything else on a good day. Can't understand why Ruger quit them as the GP-100s are not nearly as handy. I suppose a M19/66 S&W would do the same job but not as long. Hard to beat a 4" .357 for versatility. The only thing that would tempt me at this stage would be a Glock 31 (.357 SIG) with 'normal (high cap) mags and all the factory ammo I could shoot.

Hate to sound this way, because I know many hate to hear people rave about Glocks, but every one of my Glocks has given my stellar performance.
I don't know if I could choose one. Maybe the Glock 30?

Another vote for the G23. I brought it and my G17 out today and the more I shot each, the more I realized that the 23 had a better fit and was more accurate. Also, it has an inherently better feel than any of my revolvers. I just can't say enough good things about it. I only wish I had the money right now to pony up for a couple of hi-caps for it.

Add one more vote for the world famous Sig-Sauer P220 in .45ACP.

And Runner Up- It would be my newly acquired
Smith & Wesson Model 629-5. Slickest action
I've ever seen on a Smith N-frame weapon. :D
