I'm looking to buy another handgun, right now I have a CZ 75 DB, CZ P-07 Duty, 1911 and a Ruger single six. I was looking at images online and came across one I like but I don't know what it is. Does anyone know what gun this is?

Definately a Taurus. None of the pictures that I see on their site match the slide precisely. So it is probably either an older or brand-spanking new model that's not listed. Could be an 840 or 809, or maybe others.

"What happens when all guns start to look like one another?
Cars, too, for that matter."

Amen. I have been around guns as a business and as a hobby for over 60 years and I can't tell one of the new black plastic guns from another without checking the markings. And it used to be if you were able to afford a Cadillac or a Lincoln or a Mercedes, everyone KNEW it. I parked next to a Lincoln the other day and it really didn't look much bigger or better than my Corolla (though it probably rode better). Maybe that is "democratic" or something, or a credit to the folks at Toyota, but if I owned than Lincoln, I sure would not like to have it look like a low-end economy car.

The old Tuarus (car) was an unfinished Jaguar. Hyundia loves to imitate Euro taillights, particularly Mercedes. But dammit a 911 is .....

Definitely a Taurus 809/840/845. IMHO, the best, most comfortable grip ever. My friend has one that has been flawless. Sadly mine wasn't and I got rid of it. Every time I see one I want to buy it and hope it's like my friend's is.

The gun in question appears to be the Taurus PT 24/7 OSS model that was introduced in 2005. At that time the Operations of Special Forces were looking for a new handgun with certain specs and Taurus turned this particular model as a bid. It was eventually discontinued because funding was cut off by Congress. I believe it is in use by the Brazilian special forces.
