what fal/fnl rifle do i get?

i am very confused about .308 cal fal/fnl type rifles. i want to get one but, dont know which one to get.... price vs quality..i am a poor collector.....thanks for any advice....support gun rights or you will be a ganster... we can vote...talk to your rep/senator/gov. .....chris
 
Check out DS Arms ... http://www.dsarms.com/ . Great reputation, and great source of high quality mag's at very attractive prices. At least buy some mag's while they're so cheap.

Check out the STG58 as well as the DSA-built FAL's.

I spent almost a year going to Gunshows and looking online for a FAL. The best rifle for the money right now is the STG58 from DSA. Otherwise your gambling. You shouldn't pay more than about $900 for one. If you have any other questions ask away!!! I have only had mine for a few months and love the thing. Its still being broken in with only 480rds threw it. And I'm a total rank Amatuer with it. I'll tell you one thing about those guns THEY CAN HANDLE EXTREME PRESSURES!!! It survived a pretty nasty case blowing up.
 
DS Arms has a good deal on parts kit built on one of there receivers. Something like $695 + shippng & whatever a ffl hoder will charge you for the transfer. You could also check out www.l1a1.com for a site w/ all kinds of info you want.

My son got a stg-58 from AIM . It has an IMBEL receiver which is cosidered the best from what I've seen on the FAL BB.Mostly Steyr parts...great barrel,clean finish. Right at $500 shipped. It shoots great...is accurate...why pay more??;)
