What ever happened to......

Men like Dwight D. Eisenhower, Theodore Roosevelt, Charles DuGaulle (I hope I spelled it right), Winston Churchill, General Patton, Bull Halsey and the warriors of old? Have their memories and impact on the world really left us behind? Or do they sit dormant waiting for the day when the world will realize that these are the men we need more of? Men who do not run scared and WILL take the fight to the enemy no matter whether it involves guns or paperwork. Men who will not back down from someone higher than them in the chain of command or could ruin their careers to do what is right.

I'm sure you all know who Richard Marcinko is. And you all know how John Ross's book Unitended Consequences ends. Why is it that to many people the world over do not heed the advice that is given by each? Why do to many people stay reactive or complacent? I thought people had an inate and natural instinct to be proactive in our own defense. Do we? Or has it merely slipped away from us and let us as a group grow complacent and say things like "It won't happen to me" or "That only happend to bad people"?

I know most of you here are proactive in your defense and play the what-if scenarios over and over in your heads and plan accordingly. I'm not issuing a war cry or anything of the like in order to incite a rebellion or revolution. I just want someone with much more wisdom than an 18 year old can or will ever have to give me the answer. I've grown disillusioned and disenchanted by a world that refuses to protect itself.

I was always raised to fend for yourself and to always help someone and everyone you could. Your neighbors and friends were the same way. I'm scared of what this world has become.....I'm scared of the fact that someday the governments of the world will all collapse and everyone will left to their own devices. Could we, as humanity, rise up from such a collapse if it were to happen tomorrow? Or would most everyone be left walking through the ashes of what they once knew as their life? Could they rebuild the Earth and manage to remember how to fend for themselves? Would they?

I'm only but one little voice in a sea of many and can't do much on my own. But I do know that, down in my soul, that what I say is one of many thoughts and feelings you all harbor. I really can't explain my feelings towards people with no common sense and those that only watch out for themselves. All I can say is that I've noticed more and more that those are the ones put in charge of us on a daily basis. Maybe someone can do better than me in explaining this and why it is? I just don't know anymore.

Everything I have ever been taught seems to have no meaning, no reason to exist anymore. Why can't people just understand that we all have natural rights? Rights that CAN NOT be alienated and destroyed. Rights garuanteed to us just by breathing.

Is it just me or do you guys feel that this world has gone against everything you've ever been taught? I'm only 18 years old and I'm not field with the angst of my many piers who cry out such things as "The Government sucks", "F** the police", and many more things of the like. I am not one to slam what little bit of freedom I have. I am a patriot in the way that John Paul Jones was a patriot. I am a patriot in the way that Paul Revere was a patriot. I am a patriot in the way that George Washington, John Adams, Patrick Henry, Sam Adams, and Thomas Jefferson were patriots. They are all probably turning in their coffins right now as I right this. They are doing so because of a world that has turned its back on their ideals and beliefs.

Please use this thread to answer these questions: Where did the world go wrong in leaving behind humanities natural rights and those being in charge of us get the idea that they have one set of rules and those who aren't in charge have a different set? What ever happened to to an ideal called Common Sense? Where has he gone? What happened that he has chosen to leave us and go elsewhere?

These are just my collective thoughts and questions I leave to those with more wisdom than I, an 18 year old that hasn't yet lived a full life to answer these questions, to answer in such a way that all can understand.

It started in the sixtys with men getting in touch with their feminine side being nonconfrontional.Back in grade school they would rather you play hopscotch than cowboys and indians oops i mean native americans. don't show any agression or you're going to counselling for anger management.By the time you reach adulthood you are thoroughly pacified. I believe thats what has been a major contributing factor in the rise of school shooting. You let kids learn what physical pain feels like at a young age they learn to respect it as they grow older. Let them get their noses bloodied some and they will have a real life view as to what their actions cause. They grow up watching violence on tv and have no real life experience with it till they start shooting and then its to late.

Humanity will be the first thing lost when survival of the fittest come in to play again. New Orleans is a perfect example of that

What happened, we lost our freedoms (or the last generation gave them up).

We "have" freedoms but we really don't have freedoms. Freedoms are worth fighting for, perceived freedoms are those that you try to keep until they are taken from you.

Why won't people stand up like those you listed, fear. Fear of what the government can, and will, do to you, and your family.

They have tried, and succeded, in demonizing certain groups. Those being white, male, christain, gun owners and smokers, just to name a few. White females are close behind.

Now, they know that these groups mentioned above have a certain flare for self reliance and self rule. That is not a good thing to them.

Feminization is a major factor also (of men). I almost fall into this trap but I guess that my mind is wired right, just shorts out now and then :(.

Times and the country behind them allowed men to be great. The times and the country isn't ready for men to be great now. Make yourself a good man and support good people then when and if your time comes you will be great too.

No one knows the future but history will give you an idea what is about to happen. Read the things said and done to give yourself that edge in the ability to make wise decisions.

God and nature will run the course in your life and you can see around you when man becomes un- natural and away from God where it leads. To murder babies in the name of choice and call parents killers for fishing means the culture in America is headed for a huge turmoil. To murder your neighbors in the name of allah to get your virgins shows the world is in the same boat as America. If you run with fools who believe this crap then you are doomed to be culled like they are.

Nature has a way of keeping a balance. To murder your own means you kill your seed in this world and after all that seed is gone the world comes back in balance. Unfortunatly you will have to live around people confused about life and making poor decisions your whole life. That is life.

Movies and TV would like you to think if there is a collapse that our world will never recover. History shows that in bad times good people band together and challenge the bad ones. We could never have gotten to this point if that were not true.

I know I am boring you and it seems my post rambleing but life has alot involved and to balance yourself by setting your values takes a long time to learn and some never learn it.

Model 25, well put. I never thought of nature coming along and taking care of idiots and fools. I guess nature has it's own way of keeping things balanced. And as of right now, things must be balanced. Thanks!!
