What does it mean?

Just a quick question for y'all; what does ACP mean? I know that the 9mm Kurtz is called .380 ACP in the US. It leads me to believe that the ACP designationis used mostly here and the same ammo is called something else overseas.

Is that a correct assumption?

No offense, but it's not Kurtz. It's Kurz. Kurz means short in German.

"kurtz" isn't a word in German.

and the "9 mm Corto" is the Italian equivalent of the .380 ACP. I believe that the Italian military (and perhaps even some Germans) may have used Berettas chambered for this round during World War II.
