What does Gore think he is going to accomplish?

Even if Gore does slime his way into the White House, no one will respect him once he gets there.

There is no way he can truly win at this point. I mean really "win". Sure, he might be able to weasel his way into the Presidency, but he will look like a scumbag and get no respect for his actions. He will be the laughing stock of the world, scorned by many. He will have entered his Presidency by circumventing the Constitution....right before he puts his hand on the Bible and swears to uphold it. He will influence the political system with lawsuits and bullying to win an election that he lost....even while his side cheated.

I just can't imagine, even if he does get into office, that he thinks anyone will have one ounce of respect left for him. Certainly no one will ever consider him honorable, nor will they consider him a "real" President, but he will always be known as the sore loser who threw a tantrum and usurped the system to get into office.

I'd like to believe all of that, but really ... consider what Clinton has gotten away with.

The reaction you suggest, at least on the part of Americans, would take backbone and moral fiber. I think we're a 'couple quarts down' on backbone and moral fiber, unfortunately.

Supreme Court Justices, that is what it comes down to, if you get nothing done as prez but selct 3 justices you have accomplished a lot, think about what is at stake..

Red Bull,
Gore is just another drone. In a lot of ways, he's already won. Look around this forum and take a long hard look at the demoralized posts. Gore and the Democrats, along with their media stooges, have fostered an atmosphere of division, mistrust and apathy in this country, the likes of which I've never seen. What can he do, you ask? The same damned thing he's been doing. So far it's worked pretty well hasn't it? Do you think changing the constitution is a minor thing? Look at the crap aboout "living document" Gore preached. Nobody took him serious until a call went out to change the EC. Now everybody(not really, but it sure seems that way) is questioning the EC. Bear in mind, that many of these people that question the EC can't even follow a simple arrow on a ballot for cryin out loud! These are the same people that want to rewrite the document that is the foundation of our country!

A couple "courts" low Jeff? ;) Yeah I would agree on that. Amerika is going to get exactly what it deserves.
I think most members here know exactly what it will take in the end to try and straighten things out.But then again if the economy is good....

Do you really think that we want those laws to be observed? We want them broken. We're after power and we mean it. There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breakings laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted-and you create a nation of law breakers--and then you cash in on guilt.

What does he think he is going to accomplish?

Why, only the total usuraption of the government and the ability to rule by executive fiat, of course.

Bowing in his presence probably won't be required until his second year in office... :p

God so values free will that He gave us all the freedom to turn our back on even Him. If liberty is that important to God, it should be that important to us all...
