What do you take to the range?

Every time I find myself heading to the range, invariably I have my *&* Model 65 .357 along to make some noise. I don't necessarily shoot it well, but I like to shoot it. I would bet there are some folks out there who would nod their head in agreement.

What finds its way to the range more often than not when you go to shoot?

Whatever I intend to be my carry gun(s) for a while. Currently, Glock 27.

My 22 lr 9-shot revolver. It has a heavy trigger pull but it has taught me the meaning of trigger control. Afte putting 50-100 rounds through it whatever else I bring is smooth and light and very deadly accurate.

Indoors: One revolver and at least one semi. Depends on what my partner and I agree on. Glock Day, Browning Day, .45 Day, 9mm Day, you get the idea. We coordinate so we can share gear, ammo, and guns. The revolver I chose is invariably my 686, stoked with Remington 125 JHPs. Can you say Kaboom, boys and girls.:D

Outdoors: As many rifles as I can get in my truck with the other gear/ammo(usually 4-5). My 686 on my hip, and a 9mm semi just for plinking.

So I'm nodding in agreement on the .357 revolver. It seems to always get to go out.

It depends

HK P7M8, HK Tactical, BHP, Makarov, Springfield 1911A1, CZ-75B and PCR. And sometimes a Luger and Mauser C-96 Broomhandle (you should see the looks when I whip those out).

Oh yeah and a single action Ruger Blackhawk!

one semi-auto CZor BHP etc, mags/ammo, saftey gear and lots of water- amzing how bieng thirsy can affect you firing;) and a small swiis army knife- The waiter model I believe- Vey useful

Today, it will be the 308 VEPR and Sig P225 that I picked up last weekend. In addition, I'll bring along my AK-47 and the GP100 I haven't shot in a while. Plenty of ammo and targets to burn through on the 4th of July!

Indoor: G19 and G21, and quite possbily Ruger Single Six (minus the .22 magnum cylinder)

Outdoors: All of the above, plus my Ruger 10/22, Savage 10FP, and my AR-15

And a total of about 1,000 rounds of ammo of mixed but appropriate caliber.

P7M8--HK Tactical--Glock 34 or 30--Ear protection, Eye glasses, Cap, Ammo, pistol rest, & usual range bag junk. I buy targets at the range.:D

Always my P7M8 and my G19 those are the two guns I carry 99.9% of the time so I shoot them as much as I can. Though I have to admit that lately I've been neglecting the Glock :( since I seem to have fallen in love with the 1911 design.

Other stuff; CLP, cleaning rod + brush, spare parts for the 1911's such as extractor, firing pin, firing pin stop, recoil spring etc.

Oh yeah, I forgot to add, LOTS of bullets. :D

I take guns I plan to shoot and a gun (usually a 1911) that rides locked and cocked w/2 spare mags.

Never forget personal safety, even on the range.

Ditto on the sunscreen and water, getting used to the weather in Arizona is challenging for a good Yankee like me! One thing I've got in the habit of bringing as well out here is an old t-shirt or towel to lay on the bench at the range to protect the finish of my guns from the dust and sand that accumulates on the carpet.

"Yeah, but it's a dry heat."

.44 Magnum of some sort. Once you get used to the recoil, shooting a typical carry gun is cake.

Then there's always a few 1911's that find their way into my gun case :)

No matter what else I take or shoot, my carry gun (P-11) is with me and gets shot. The one you carry is the one that deserves most practice.

My glock 19 and glock 26 (carry guns) and my keltec 32 ("oh crap" gun) and my 870.

I shoot the 19 the most, followed closely by the 26. I carry one of those all the time and shoot them the most. :)

The 32 is for when I can't carry a 9mm or for when i want another one on me just because. I usually shoot a few rounds through it each trip just to be sure it's working fine and I can still hit the target at close distances.

The shotgun is new and i'm enjoying trying it out and trying different ammo. :D

If i buy any more guns, i'm going to need a bigger car, my shotgun just fits in the trunk diagonally at an angle...
