What do you pay for guns in your neck of the woods?

I bought a Kimber Custom Stainless. At one place I stopped it was $750. Down the street which is a Master Dealer here in Missouri I paid $686. I used to live in Arkansas and noticed that all guns seemed more expensive here in Missouri.

I'm in MO. also but seldom buy a gun off a dealers shelf so to speak. I research the gun I want from resources such as Gun List and dealers only distributor fliers such as Jerry's. I then go to the dealer I use money order, letter to seller describing gun desired and stamped, addressed envlope in hand. He sticks a signed copy of his FFL in the envlope and when the gun comes in I go pay him a small fee and pick it up.

We live in a time in which attitudes and deeds once respected as courageous and honorable are now scorned as being antiquated and subversive.

I have never purchased a new handgun off the shelf. I always use a dealer who will order any firearm for his total cost + 10%. BTW, most dealers in the Omaha area will order for 10%, some even do 7%.

Used handguns are another matter. The prices seem to be creeping up. I'm seeing a lot of used stuff that is only priced $50 less than new.
