What do you know about this rifle?

Stamped ".308 cal". Jeesh.
I'd be scared to shoot that thing. Looks like the metal is broke at a couple places at the mag release. Kaboomed?

It's a Federal Arms FA91. They are copies of the HK91 rifles and they were all stamped .308 to my knowledge. I couldn't tell you anything about the value. They aren't listed in my blue book. Here is a link that gives some more info:

I remember seeing one years ago at a Tucson gun shop, looked cheap and the salesman said it was not a good clone. Went cheap for $400 if I remember right, and that was about 5 years ago.

.308 cal is exactly that. Bore diameter. .308 cal is not a cartridge. They probably meant 308Win, but it's just a pet peev of mine.
I'm a reloader and this stuff urkes me.
BTW .223 is not a cartridge either. 223Rem is however.

Since your statement leads one to believe you want to sell it, here's MY $0.02 (YMMV, of course):
I don't care for that type/genre' rifle - a battle rifle w/stamped-looking receiver, etc, etc.
(I had my fill of the type during an exotic SE Asian vaca, 40 years ago, and have moved on)
Ergo, it has NO value for ME - which means that if/when you offer it F/S, you'd be best advised to market it in the proper venue, where it would appeal to those folks that hold those rifle in some regard/value, like the classifieds on one of the EBR specialty forums.
