What do y'all think of my first .45?(P97)

Great choice. Great price. The only things I've heard bad about the Ruger (never owned a plastic Ruger) are that the grip is a bit slippery. My P-94 is one gem of a gun.
 
The grip is no problem for me and in fact, it doesn't bite into your hand. Mine is very accurate with all loads in the 15 yard range doing sub-inch groups.

Great gun at any price and the finest P-Series yet with a thinner grip than the rest.
BTW, they are designed to shoot ANY factory loaded ammo.

thats a hell of a price.
i paid more than that ($250 with two mags) for my Llama minimax II.
nice gun but if i could have found a ruger for that i would have gotten it.
good choice and good deal.
 
Reminds me that I need to pick up a P95 one of these days.
 
You did great. One damn great gun. I love mine as much as my other handguns at more than twice its price. A keeper for sure. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do.
 
Congrats. You made a good choice. The P97 is my favorite Ruger. It should be very reliable with any ammo you put through it.
