What do Rugers weigh?

I'm planning on getting more revolvers over time but I've noticed from the Ruger website, they say nothing about weight. Why is that? I'd think that would be helpful to know from the buyer's standpoint. What does a Ruger GP weigh in comparison to a S&W 60" -- and the SP compared to the GP and S&W? Someone told me the SP was smaller and lighter than the GP which surprised me. Is it really that heavy? I don't feel it.

The Ruger catalog lists weight.

The 2005 catalog shows the GP weighing from 36 to 46 oz., depending on model and barrel length. The SP weighs 25 to 30 oz., depending on model and barrel length.

I must be looking in the wrong place -- you're referring to the catalog via mail, not the website catalog correct? Because I'm not seeing anything on the Ruger homepage.

Mastrogiacomo,

The Ruger website does show weights, as well as overall length. If you goto the page that shows all models of the GP100 and then click on the picture of the particular model you wish to know about, you will be taken to a page that will have a link on it that says "detailed specifications". Click on this link, you will be taken to a page that shows you the overall length and weight, as well as other information. Good luck.
