What do I have with 30-06

I picked up 2 loaded clips at a garage sail. I measured the cases and they are 30-06. The bullets are cast. The head stamps are not obvious to me. The cases are on what I can only guess are stripper clips. 5 rounds on a thin brass shell holder clip.
What do I have? Also what rifle would they be fore.

What doofus said. Or they could also be charger clips for a 1903 Springfield or a model 1917 Enfield.

When you say that the head stamps are not obvious, does that mean they are un-readable or readable but a mystery? If they're readable, I'm betting that someone here could tell you the manufacturer and date of manufacture. Military head stamps should be two numbers and two letters (e.g. TW, RA, FA).

You have somebody's cast bullet reloads on a surplus stripper clip.
I hope you did not pay much for them, their value is only what the brass is worth.

Agreed, though I do have some cast my step dad did, I just don't know which rifle I am willing to try them in (and he is very good at it, didn't log the data with the box though)

Hard case and checks, just have to think about which is the sacrificial gun!
(well I have the shot out 1903 20s era so probably that one.
