I just got some Glock 17 Factory pre-ban Hi-caps.... Thay have a burn mark under the Glock Austria mark... I am wondering if thay are LEO Mags.... Can you guys post Some Photos of your Glock 17 NFML Pre-Ban hi caps.....

here's a picture of a restricted LE mag, a pre-ban full-cap and a 10 rounder. i don't know what's with the burn mark under the Glock smybol but you can see that's not where it says that it's a restricted mag.

In other words, if they were LEO mags that had their marks ground off, the "burn" would be below the caliber designation.

There's a fourth variant--Glock magazines sold in Europe have a marking that reads "RESTRICTED IN U.S.--POST 9.13.94" between the witness holes, in the same spot where the vertical markings on the LEO-only magazine are.

The burn marks may be where a previous owner's initials, or some other identifying marks, were removed. I have 2 preban G17 mags, one was marked with gold paint on the floorplate, and the other has a 3-digit number scratched into the body. I suspect the painted mag was marked for competition, and the numbers on the other mag may be an LEO's badge number.
