So, what did the rest of you purchase at this weekend's gun show?
Mine was a new 6 inch Ruger GP-100 Stainless. I normally don't see more than one or two on display at shows here in Houston, so I didn't want to let this opportunity slip. It put me back $370 + tax. A nice complement to my SP101 snubby and used 686. The trigger is very good, but definitely not as smooth as that of the S&W. I was surprised by its negligeable kick compared to my other 357s. Like with my other revolvers, it didn't seem to like blazer 357 rounds, as lead particles were hitting my face constantly (more annoying than painful). The problem has always been resolved by instead shooting FMJ ammo like PMC. Have any of you also experienced this nuisance with lead-tipped blazer in revolvers? Also, is my expectation of pinpoint accuracy at 25 yards unrealistic, or should I just experiment with different brands? At 15 yards, it was very precise. As always, thanks for any info.
