What did Natchez send me??

Ordered a Refurb Nikon Postaff 4x32 rimfire scope from Natchez as they were discounted to $65 if I remember correctly.

Got the package today and low and behold I think they sent the wrong scope. The box says "4x32 Nikoplex" etc but after opening it up I have a 4x40 scope made by Nikon in Japan. It has the numbers Right under where it says 4x40. From google I think it's an old Buckmaster made in the 90's. Any reviews on these?

I know the Prostaff's are made in the Philippians.

Any idea if this scope is worth just keeping versus calling them and getting them to send me a prostaff 4x32? I really needed a rimfire scope but I guess I could use this on my H&R 30-30 16.5" carbine.

I would say if you like it keep it but as you knew you were buying a refurb then it was exactly that the 4x40 will gather more light and would be good at the days end and finally getting to shoot the .22 after everyone in your family has shot b4 you and are more likely to have eating on their minds but guess what now you finally get to shoot 100 rounds off knowing if a fair trade off for the family or friend having a great day shooting.

Didnt have a chance to call today. The 4x40 is bright and clear but what I don't like is the 100 yard parralex it has since it will go on a rimfire.

I have a centerfire scope on a rimfire, and the 100 yard parallax WILL mess up your short range precision accuracy.
