What countries don't have laws about SBRs?

If I recall correctly SBR are unrestricted in Canada...

Not exactly correct. The barrel length of a rifle or shotgun is less important than the overall length. Cutting a barrel on a rifle or shotgun to be less than 18" will get you in deep kimchi! However, if the rifle or shotgun comes that way from the manufacturer, then that is fine. Folding or telescoping stocks that make the gun less than 26" in overall length when at their shortest is a no-no but if it is over the 26" then it's not a problem. Confused yet? Try here for the straight poop form the powers-that-be!

When hunting moose or bear in the fall you'll see lots of guys with a Boito Hiker single shot shotgun in .410 - great little guns for popping grouse for the dinner pot. Looks funny though - 12" barrel and a full length buttstock so its over the 26" limit! Lots of hunters also carry the Rem 870 with an 8 1/2" barrel and a full stock - again, looks a little strange but it packs a bigger punch.
