What cigar do you prefer while shooting?

Lung and mouth cancer dissuade me from even considering any kind of tobacco. I would rather not carry than use tobacco in any form.

Eh, to each his own. Each person who smokes any kind of tobacco product has to make a decision to risk the possible negative effects associated with that product. Personally, I only smoke pipe tobacco and cigars, and I love them very much. Unless tobacco itself is made illegal (which is a closer reality than most people think) I don't think I'll be putting the pipe or stogies away anytime soon. ;)

If I win the lottery I am going to build a gun club / range. I'll buy a huge expanse of land and create an indoor & outdoor range, separate area too for trap & skeet.

But I've always said I'd have an actual clubhouse where members could sit down and get a steak sandwich, or something, a nice lunch and a beer. And I'd have a separate cigar bar.

It's getting hard to find anywhere that allows cigars anymore. A lot of bars have signs up "No Cigars"

I actually hate the smell of ciggarettes - and especially in a cigar bar. It ruins the experience of smoking a cigar when ciggarette smoke wafts over.

Well anyway, I can't see how cigar smoke is worse than gunsmoke.

I've always been partial to Macanudo, for a while I was smoking the Diplomats but I had a tendency to smoke them down too far. I've been meaning to try Duke of York or Majesty.

I think it would be great to go to the range in the morning, finish up around noon, have a sandwich in the clubhouse and smoke a cigar and have a beer (or a snifter of fine whiskey) or something before going home.

If I win the lottery - I'm going to create a place where I can do that.

You and I have very similar business ideas. But I realized the mixture of alcohol and guns on the same grounds might get... tricky.

And La Aurora coronas are my preference, though I like to mix it up.

^ I thought about that too. My thinking though is that in a private club you can screen out people who are irrisponsible with alcohol, weapons, and vehicles or all three.

At a range where I shoot they have 2 rules posted pertaining to this. One is prohibiting bringing alcohol into the range. The other is about firing under the influence of alcohol or drugs including prescription drugs and about shooting while impaired. I knew there must have been an incident that spawned the rule but out of curiosity I had to ask the range master. He told me it happens about once every two months, but usually it's some guy who been smoking weed. This guy told me if he smells it or even thinks or imagines that he smells pot - he tells them to get out, and even if he doesn't smell it, if their demeanor reminds him in the slightest of Cheech & Chong or Mr. Spicoli - they are GONE.

I would not recommend bringing any type of food or drink (even water) into a range - especially an indoor range. The same would go for smoking while on a range. People do this and wonder why they have elevated lead levels. IMO, we need to police ourselves to prevent excuses for more regulations by governmental agencies.

NONE!!! The smell of gunpowder is something that needs left alone... No masking it with the foul odor of a 'gar...

Ashton #60 would be my first choice but at $12 each it is beyond my range more than once a year.

you cigar haters sound like the same kind of folks who can't tolerate gun owners.... intolerance seems to be in lots of places......

before, during or after my favorite cigar is Rocky Patel Vintage 1992 Churchill. there are a few others, punch, sancho panza, but Rocky Patel Vintage 1992 Churchill is my favorite.
