The CZ 75B fits my hand like a glove! I went to Potomac Arms last night to handle some of their fine wares and found the the CZ 75B fit me quite nicely. Nicest feeling handgun I have ever picked up (weight, balance, grip). I think I might have found a winner to be my first handgun. Now I only wish I could shoot one and really see how it performs. Would the CZ 75B make a good first handgun? Is about $380 a good price for a NIB CZ with one 15 and one 10 rnd mag? Thanks.

(And thank you Potomac Arms for being so helpful)

The price is a bit higher than what I've been seeing at the Bealton, Leesburg, and Dale City gunshows, but not all that much so.

I can't remember, though, the magazines that come with the ones I've seen, so the fact that it has a 15-rounder could be a kicker.

I've fired the CZs, and they seem to be well-made, accurate guns at good prices.

You could probably do worse.

IMHO, $380 out-the-door would be better.

But, as your neighbor said, perhaps that's the going rate in your area. You will NOT be dissappointed in the way it shoots. I'd lay a hefty wager on that.:D Stop over and visit us:

Good first gun.

Despite the low price, CZ's are rugged, reliable, and accurate. They are also easy to field-strip. Great value for the money, and nothing weird to confuse you.

The fact that it includes a _standard capacity_ 15 rnd magazine makes the price reasonable. Buy it and you will enjoy it for a lifetime.

Just priced one locally (southeast Alabama). Tagged price is $399 NIB with one ten round magazine. They'll probably come off the price $20 or $30, maybe also throw in a box of ammo. Didn't press it at the moment, currently financially impaired.

Good gun first or last in the collection

I keep pimpin cz's so much I really should see if I can get stock in the company soon. I love mine. If you get it really dirty and treat it like total crap you might be able to make it screw up but I wouldnt put money on it. I know it feel's really good but I just put some Hogue $20 cobblestone fingergroove grips on mine and it put a couple extra e's in sweeeeeeeeet! If all of your gun investments are this wise you will be a very lucky person. -ddt
