What can I get for two Ruger Speed sixes?

I am looking to trade my two Ruger Speed Sixes for something else, what kind of price/trade should I reasonable expect?

One is SS with Rubber grips and very good cond, and the other is blued with walnut Herrets and an extra set of rubber grips in excellent cond. Both have 4" bbls.

I think I want a J-frame S&W .38 or .357 or a small 9mm (Kahr P-9, CZ PCR). How bad will a dealer take me? Should I just sell them outright and buy what I want?

I am not trying to trade here but hypothetically, what would you trade someone for the guns as described? What gun would you give in trade and what would you accept in trade if they were yours?
 
You'll virtually always get less from a dealer than from some individual. Remember the dealer has to sell it after he gets it from you so he's not going to pay as much for it.

Around here Speed/Security Sixs go for around $200 for blue and $250-275 for stainless.
