What are we going to do?

There are many very concerning issues on this forum. It seems almost that the dwindling gun rights are just the tip of a ominous, dark iceberg. Just about everyone here is concerned with the way this country is heading, so WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?

Anyones ideas are welcome.

VOTE! But contrary to what most do we must vote from an educated stand point. No popularity contest, no voting on party lines. Look at the "VOTING" history of the politicians on the docket. Don't believe what they say, look at what they vote.

EDUCATE! Scream at the numb and content. Start conversations. Don't be afraid to voice your opinion to people that clearly disagree with you. Offer help to steer people towards educating themselves. All to often people spout random facts and yet they can't tell you where they learned said information. Be aware of everything if you can. Learn as much as possible. DON'T BE AFRAID TO CHANGE YOUR MIND! Too many people think they can't be wrong or something new isn't going to enlighten them anymore. B.S.

REVOLT! I don't mean grab your black powder rifle and head down to the river to stop the red coats. I mean stand up for yourselves and the people that won't, even if they don't ask for help. Unfotunately, the time may come where we are forced to physically defend ourselves from tyranny. I fear this time is coming in my life time. But I will be prepared.

I have said this over and over, but I will say it again because there are millions of gun owners who just don't get it: The most important thing is that gun owners NOT vote for politicians that are antigun bigots like Clinton, Gore and Kerry. Vote for whoever is running against them that has the best chance of winning.

There are 80 million or so gun owners in the United States, yet in the 2004 election, Kerry was defeated by only a little over 3 million votes. That tells me one thing: There are tens of millions of gunowners who are voting for the scumbags who want to destroy the Second Amendment and our right to arms.

This has got to stop, period!

If we had a couple of Presidential elections where the vote tally was 80 million plus for the progun candidate and 20 or so million for the antigun bigot candidate, with a 100% election rate for progun candidates in the House and Senate, you can bet your @$$ that the antigun bigots would get the message. Attacking our right to arms would very quickly be seen as political suicide, which it should be.

Yes, there are alot of issues to address regarding government and politicians overstepping their Constitutional restraints and screwing with our personal lives and choices. Guess what - there always will be. We can hammer out the rest as we go along, but our first priority must be to defend the Second Amendment and our right to arms!

Why? because, like it or not, our right to arms is the one right that preserves and protects all others (just like the Wayne LaPierre always says).

Bottom line? Gun owners must stop voting for antigun bigots if we are to preserve our right to arms.
