hey i just posted in another forum about me getting a hi point 9mm carbine for christmas. thanks for the advice on ammo by the way. but i was thinking...i have a 9mm makarov and no standard 9mm pistol that will go with my carbine :( i need advice on 9mm revolvers and what ones there is out there because as ive said i have the 9mm makarov so id like to add some variety to my collection with a wheel gun....in 9mm to go with my carbine.what good ones is there guys?

You have few choices in a 9mm revolver. I know S&W had the M547 at one time. I think Taurus has a model out now and Ruger had the Sp-101 and the BH convertable. There maybe a few more, but it will be a very few.

I have the Taurus 941 in 9MM I couldn't recommend it as any type of fun gun to shoot. Most of the 9MM revolvers are small for concealed carry.Ruger makes a Blackhawk convertable in .357 and 9MM but that is SA but is a great gun for just fun shooting:)

How about this one? It was commonly believed that auto pistols---because they had no power-robbing cylinder gap--produce higher velocities than revolvers. I read an old report that compared this M547 & Ruger Blackhawk fitted with 9mm cylinder against autoloaders: HK P7 & S&W M39 and surprisingly the revolvers averaged some 30 to 40 fps quicker. Similar barrel lengths and the author couldn't explain the results. He said more data was needed..The 547 is in a class by itself, don't get me started. . ;)
Couple of 9's:)

Guess it depends on what you want it for . The S&W is sweet but collectale. (Read : pay big $ and take special care of it). The Blackhawk is nice and built like a tank. The Ruger Sp101 is a nice . This one is a favorite of mine and goes out whenever my Marlin 9 camp carbine goes to the range.
