What are human rights (one search engine's results)

Great find, Oleg.

Rights are precious, just like money. Counterfeit money makes the real thing worthless-- just like counterfeit rights.

For example there can be no right to medical care, for that means that someone else has to pay for it. There can only be the right to free trade.
There can be no right to steal.

Human rights are a curious thing. Some feel that they have a right to force a physician to provide service or lose his livelyhood, and some think that they have a right to force you to pay for their lack of motivation or inititive. I will stick to what the founders of this country listed as basic rights that pre-date the constitution. By my understanding of natural rights, a man in mexico also has the right to be armed just as the man in Cuba. It is entirely up to them to decide to claim and exercise that right be it legal or not. I could be wrong though.

Find out just what the people will submit to and you've found out the exact amount of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them; and these will continue until they are resisted with either words or blows or with both.
The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress.
Frederick Douglass, Aug 4 1857
