What ammo do you use in your 9mm carry gun?

When available I use the 124 +P Speer Gold Dots or Winchester PDX1. If can’t locate either of those I go with the closet thing available.

Well… in Belgium, we don't have the choice !
Only FMJ and hardball are lawful.

I use Geco 124 gr > excellent ammo, very constant shot after shot.

Federal HST 124gr HP standard pressure.

If I can't find those (hasn't happened yet), I'd feel just as comfortable with Speer Gold Dot 124gr's.

If you want to pick from a data driven testing method, search out ShootingTheBull410 on youtube. He partial FBI tests all the modern loads/manufacturers. There are others reviewing there too.

Also, an excellent FBI test between Speer and Federal ammo is here:

Maybe not the answer you are looking for, but since I reload, I always use my own with a Remington 124 grain hollow point.

Primary loads are 115gr Hornady Critical Defense in my Beretta Nano, and 135gr Hornady Critical Duty in my Beretta PX4 Compact. Those loads have been the most accurate in these guns. When I was carry my Glock 19 it's favorite load was the Winchester Ranger 124gr +P+, flowed closely by the Federal 9BP load.

I normally have at least half a dozen different loads laying around. Whatever is handy when I load one of my pistols is what goes in it.

Speer 124gr Gold Dot Short Barrel +P in my Kahr Arms CM9.
(And in everything else I might carry in 380, 38 Special, 40 S&&W, and 45 acp)

Hornady's 135gr Critical Duty (std pressure for faster followup shots), I'll trade some expansion for assured penetration.
