Western Holster for Ruger Single Six

I just purchased a 22 cal. Ruger Single Six with 51/2" barrel and really like it. Does any one have any recommendations on where to get a nice leather holster and belt for it? I like simple stuff.

I lucked out and found a Single Six holster and belt in the bargain bin right after buying my revolver. It's an excellent holster. It's made by the George Lawrence Co. of Portland, Oregon. Unfortunately, that company went out of business a while back. Lawrence's fishing creels are now quite collectable, but I don't now about his holsters.

I found this ad for a Single Six leather holster, but nothing else:

If you like a Western rig...

I have a Bucheimer 'Gunslinger' rig in black leather...has a thong tie-down strap :) and bullet loops
on the belt. It was made specifically for the Single Six
but I don't use it for mine.

I haven't a clue what it's worth, but it's probably thirty years old...with all the quality that implies. Have been meaning to haul it to a cowboy action shoot so that someone can buy it, use it and appreciate it.

If someone can help us with a fair price, I'll sell it...if you're interested, of course. I'll haul it out of the closet and see what the specific model number is if you want.

look up El Paso Saddlery.... they make excellent products.

Also, you should check out Classic Old West Styles.

western rigs

go over to the single action shooting society site at http://www.sassnet.com and click on their "affiliated merchants" listing. There is a long list of holster makers (along with a bunch of other cowboy gear sites).

Regards,
Joe

Ditto on El Paso Saddlery (http://www.epsaddlery.com/). They make top quality holsters. I own (and use) more El Paso Saddlery holster than any other (and I have tried a lot including Alessi, Milt Sparks, Wilson and others).

Joe, go to Bianchi International and check out there western rigs, top quality but a little pricey and worth it. should be about 150.00 or so.

Go to Cabela's, check out their "Hunter Holsters" (XA-22-1363 will be a stock number that will get you in the right area, (although that particular one is for a 9 1/2" barrel)). They cost $26.99 and are of good quality (I have three).
