I inherited a large collection of long guns, and among them was a western auto revelation 12ga auto-loader. what is it? can i fire slugs/buck out of it? it cycles bird shot very well and i like the feel of it. The barrel is I/C. Thanks

We need a model number.

Western Auto bought shotguns from Mossberg, High Standard, and several other makers.

In general, a shotgun with any standard choke from Cylinder to Full will safely fire any shot, buckshot, or slugs.

An Improved Cylinder should be ideal for buckshot, slugs, and closer range bird hunting.

About the only limitation is, older guns SHOULD NOT shoot steel shot, since this may damage the barrel. Unless a gun is a newer, 1980's or later, or specifically marked for steel....DON'T.

not too many markings on this one.
receiver says: REVELATION automatic shotgun
on the barrel: UFC hialeah-florida 6 brescia italy
12ga 2 3/4-26" I.C.-M 2070

there is also some proof/import stamps on the receiver as well.

any help? thanks alot!

Sorry, I can't find any info on that one.
All the Western Auto-Revelation guns I've got listed were American made.

Try re-posting this down in Harley Nolden's area just down the list on this forum.
