Western Arms?

I recently came across a Western Arms Corp. "Long Range Gun" 12 ga. shotgun with the s/n 33xxx. I was told it was made in the 1930's, but I would like to verify the date.

What, if any, is the value on this gun? I am totally clueless on this shotgun, but might be interested if it's worth anything. Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks

Western Arms was a Division of Ithaca. They were produced between 1929 to 1946.

You do not mention the condition of the gun, but about the highest value you will find in a blue book in 100% perfect condition is around $300.00.

If it's in good shape it should be fine with standard loads. They have a decent reputation, along with the slightly better made Lefever Nitro Special. They cut some corners on the Western Arms line to save money; one was by using an iron frame instead of steel iirc.

It appears to be from 1934.
