Western Arms 357 Mag

Hey all,

Was talking to my dad the other day and he told me that he found a Western Arms 357 Mag revolver in a storage unit he bought. He said it's in excellent condition. However he also said that he can't find much info on it. I also tried doing some digging on it, the only thing relating to Western Arms had to do with airsoft. I haven't seen the gun yet but plan on going to see him in the next few days so I will gladly take pics for all you folks as I know that they are loved here on TFL. I will also try getting some more info for all y'all.

Any pointers on where to dig for info would be greatly appreciated!

Pics or further description would help. Single action? If so, are you sure the name is the total of it? There was a Great Western Arms Company, which built Colt SAA clones in the 50s and 60s. These were popular--and headquartered--in Hollywood...and widely used in western movies and TV series. They started in the early 50s, IIRC, while Colt was still out of production (since 1941). There is a current Great Western (II), marketed by EMF and made by Pietta--unrelated to the old gun and company but riding on its fame.
After all that, it's probably something else entirely!

There is an American Western Arms importing SAA and other replica guns from Italy. I think THINK they are a descendant of the older Armi San Marco, but am not sure.

This question came up somewhere a while back, it's not AWA but I can't recall what the conclusion was.

It’s almost without a doubt an Uberti. Western Arms was an importer of Uberti pattern replicas from the late 60’s into the 80’s.
