"We're going to the range today, no matter what!"

That's what my wife said to me the other day. Here's the short version of the story. I got my wife an M & P Shield (9mm) for her birthday last month, and she's been DYING to try it out. She's done her research, and this seems to be the best fit for her current needs (concealed carry, mostly). The problem is, she's currently recovering from her second foot surgery after breaking it in 2005. Well, she wasn't going to let that get in the way of trying out her new gun, so off to the range we went! Bottom line is, she loves the Shield, and she kept all the rounds on target. Not bad for the first time with a new gun. She was afraid she would get knocked off balance from the recoil and the weakened foot, but it wasn't an issue. She really LOVES her birthday present. And I think, after letting her shoot a few .357's through my LCR, she loves her Shield even more! (She didn't care for the extra recoil of the revolver).

Thats great.... Enjoy... I cant get my wife to even hold and empty pistol...lol You have a good woman over there...

Going to the range...

Nice set up you have there.

What weight .357 rounds were you shooting? I've said many times I am just not going to shoot 158 grain .357 magnums in an LCR, 125 grain rounds are much more acceptable for me. YMMV.

Back to the range again. I am envious. Recently I've developed a rather bad recoil/flinch problem - it happens when I run my credit card through the reader at my local indoor range. Sigh.

Good luck.

DaleA, we shot Speer Gold Dot 125 grains. Mild as far as .357's go. She shot 3 rounds and called it quits. I mainly shoot .38's with it because I'm so much more accurate with them.
