Went To The Dark Side....

Well after years of carrying 3 inch 1911's and a S&W 649 .357, I finally found a Glock I really like. I bought a new model 43 single stack 9mm. The thing is thin, light, accurate, and has good sights. Makes for a great carry gun. I always knew Glocks were good guns, but never found one I really liked until now.

Some say "the dark side" but in reality it's enlightenment!
Congrats, very nice carry piece. If I didn't already have a Kahr CM 9 that I am very happy with I would be getting a G43.

And you know what? None of the Glock police or 1911 police or who ever showed up to confiscate your 1911.

I'm looking at the little single stack too. I test drove one the other day at the range. I enjoyed shooting it!

Welcome!

Your polymer prayer rug and tennifer decoder ring will be arriving in the mail soon, I'm sure.

Nice weapon for sure,
I carry a Glock 23 most of the time
Glock are great guns, in my opinion, the most dependable gun made
Can't go wrong with a Glock, when you need it, it performs superbly
I've shot them for years, I shoot all other kinds to, but my go to gun in a critical situation, will be my Glock, no doubt
Hope you enjoy it,

Nice. I am getting a glock 43 as well. I had been looking at the shield and glock 42 but think the 43 is best for me.

I was very sure so far, that I will never but never own a tinker toy........:D
But because life is a continues change, I joined the dark side too. My best guess is, that I have no willpower, or there are things we are not able to change.
When I was younger, (yes I was), I was told, "if you can help it, don't get old", but I couldn't help it.....;)
So now I catch myself playing with my newest toy, g19......
................but for sure, this is the last gun I ever bought.........
Hmmm.......I think I sad that already, about 30 some years ago too.
Well then, the one who dies with the most toys is the winner.
Life is good.:)

Glock is the one brand I keep coming back to/owned the most of. I'm not a huge fanboy, but I can't deny how well they work/fit my hand. Just put another Gen 3 27 on layaway.

Last Friday I landed on the dark-side too. (G19)
I'm trying to get used to the "wrong-grip-angle".:)

Editing......ooooopppps, I mentioned that already.(I always get into less trouble if I keep it shut.) But the last worlds are always mine...Yes mam.:D

My sincerest condolences. I would hope that you don't give up on real guns though. If people like you stop buying them they won't be making any for me to buy. At any rate, enjoy your new toy.:)

Youre doomed now! They multiply like rabbits!. :)

I made a similar transition about 15 years ago now. Years of all sorts of 1911's (only trusted the Colts to carry though), a slight detour through most of the SIG's, and right into Glocks.

I'm trying to get used to the "wrong-grip-angle"
Once you get used to it, youll be amazed you ever had an issue at all.

Youll also find you can switch back and forth at will.

Its maaaggic! :D

only auto back in the late 90s that wasn't SA that I could reach the trigger on. I was really intent on getting a usp and had a bias against the glock, but upon shooting it, I shot it better than the usp. It wasn't just the moronic DA/SA trigger where I would have to switch the grip to shoot it correctly, but the grip angle worked pretty damn good for me as well as the low bore axis. As much as I wanted to like the usp's and sigs because they were better made and prettier, it didn't equate to ease of shooting and reliability.

Now my next gun may be a walther or vp9, but I'm still gonna see if my first the g19 will fare against them, and I would not be surprised if I go back to a gen 3 (my first was a gen 2) g19.

Revolvers are so fun to shoot and you can get match accuracy for $500. But for business glocks are as good as any for most applications.
