Well now I've done it, I made Ralph Nader mad

I was on a flight to Boise with Ralph Nader Thursday night and when we were getting off the plane, I mentioned to the guy next to me, "Poor guy, he's running for President and has to fly coach."

Nader has really good hearing. He turned around and shot me a dirty look. Oh well, don't like him much anyway.

Interestingly, nobody on the plane seemed to notice him and the guy I sat next to didn't believe me when I told him he was a Presidential Candidate.

Ralph Nader's campaign is apparently starting to bother supporters of The Evil Al Gore. I don't care much for Nader either, but if The Evil One is worried about him, I hope he flourishes.

Also, I read an article about Nader way back in the 70's that mentioned that he always flies coach.

Of course he'd fly coach. The tail section of an airliner is the safest place (as it is the last to crash into the ground). :D

Yep, he always flies coach, takes public transport in metro areas and ( this is for true) unless his Mom cooks for him, he eats like a poor college student; i.e. Ramen, mac n' cheese, etc.

I read the article on his meeting in Boise the next day. Mostly left-wing gibberish. He did make one good point though. He doesn't think Idahoans should vote for anyone that doesn't campaign in thier state.

That's always the problem with living in a small state, you're pretty much forgotten in DC. Bush or Gore might stop and refuel and give a quick stump speech in Idaho or Montana or N. Dakota, but they'll never spend more than a couple of hours. Other than that, I have no use for any of his ideas.

Personally, i'd rather live in a state in which the Presidential candidates don't campaign.

This is why we have the House of Reps.

(I love reading how the Lib's are complaining that Nader is taking votes from Algore. :) )

Heeey, DC, wait a minute!

Ramen maybe, but mac & cheese is a delicacy, especially the Velveeta brand!

By the way, what happened to the general discussion forum?

Rigby, GD is temporarily FUBAR.

BTW, I thought that vote-siphoning phenomenon only applied to the GOP. That's what summayoozgize are always saying, anyway. :D

Just because he's a presidential candidate does not mean he is priviledged to fly first class.

If he can personally afford it through his own efforts, then more power to him.

But don't make the mistake of placing him above us. We have too many already that think that leadership means "priviledge" and not "service."

I've been trying to p*** nader off for decades! Corvairs are the only way to go IMNSHO. Someday, I hope to drive one of mine to his funeral. NOT, however, until he has time to do to Gore what Perot did to Bush & Dole!
