Well folks I ordered my MK40 today.

After a month or two of weighing, measuring, reading, and comparing. I dumped my "dream carry pistol" G27 for the little Kahr MK40. I have several pistol's that are too big for carry, they stay in the safe and I find myself with this little .25ACP pocket pistol. So if I've guessed right the MK40 will occupy my pocket not my gun safe.:)

I have one and it is definitely a keeper.

I just discovered that you can order the parts from Kahr to upgrade the trigger to an elite for about 20 dollars.

It is the most pistol you can get in the smallest package that is controllable to shoot IMHO.

For carry purposes, I moved from a G27 to the MK40 last year ... the G27 was just too fat; the MK40 is so slim I hardly notice it. The only problem I found is that the Kahr stainless does seem to rust easily, especially when I sweat on it all day - I use car wax on mine & it seems to help. I still like the "feel" of the G27 for shooting, but the Kahr is better for carry use for me.

Okay thanks for the input!
I've heard others mention the rust problem, and several talk about sending theirs off to be coated by various companies.
I'll have to see how this works out, I usually keep a very light coat of BreakFree on all my guns anyway. Since it can be dry and still protect and lubricate the metal parts too. I would be nice to get a flat black coating like parkerizing, to cut down on the "flash factor".

PS. I'm sure there are a lot of "fun guns" that are easier and more comfortable to shoot. But I bought this one for a purpose and will not be shooting it much more than to become "aquainted" with it and it to become broken in. The factory suggests about 200 rds. before counting on it in a "bad" situation. I'll probably start with pretty light loads and work myself up to the "mankiller" rounds (corbon, gold dot and etc.)
TF again,:)

Try some Boeshield T-9 or Eezox, both will work quite well for protecting the "stainless" Kahr. They are nice little pistols.

You guys would love the new polymer P40 Covert...check out Kahr's home page:) And thanks for the tip on the rust...my P9 has a bit:( Considered ordering the P40 in nickel but if I send it off to C&S that money would have been wasted.
