Have any of you had any experience with these? Is there any advantage of using one of these instead of the factory Ruger rings. It seems very attractive for the red dot type sights that use weaver mounts. Any and all feedback on this would be very appreciated. Oh yeah, the revolver is a SR 44mag 9-1/2". I have a pig hunt in March and was thinking that a red dot would dot he job nicely. In the future, I plan to use this firearm to harvest Muley and might want to mount a telescopic sight.
This is not on topic but I hate to waste bandwidth so I will ask it here. Have any of you used the 44mag to harvest Elk? I am considering trying archery next year but the revolver might just be the challenge that next year's hunt needs. As always, thanks in advance for your help.
