I will soon purchase a Weigand Combat "executive" package Smith M640 with front nite-site installed, Bar-Sto barrel, action job, etc. (I will confirm that the 640 used in the package was made before March 17, or I will send him mine to work on)

My Question is: Just how much louder is the hybraported barrel? Does anyone here own one that can give me a relative comparison vs. a non-ported snub barrel?
I've already got a stock M640 and don't particularly mind the recoil. If the hybraporting will increase the speed of follow up shots w/o too much added blast, I'll get it. If it is abusively loud, (like my Taurus ported M605) I will buy the gun without the porting.
Thanks
