Started the weekend early on Friday. Planned a trip to Northcoast to do some SIM shooting. Called and was told the they were doing police training till 3 but they were a little behind. Stopped and had steak at Dave and Busters and played some hi tech video. Great food for a video parlor. Got to Northcoast around 5:30, that's when the "fun" started. While I signed up and paid my money, one of the crew went to start up the system. He gets back and says the police program is still loaded he has to call the boss and find out were the other program is and how to load it. Walk around doing a little price shopping, they didn't look very good in comparison. He gets off the phone and says that the boss doesn't want the police program taken out, so we can't shoot the SIM. I explain that I'd called ahead and checked to be sure the SIM was available. Didn't do any good. So the guy at the desk asks if we want to shoot on the main range. I figured he was talking about a little comp time for their screw up. Wrong! So I ask for a credit on my Visa so we can leave. No one knows how to work the machine. After about 20 minutes of screwing around I persuade them to just give me cash, as I had wasted enough time with them. I had planned on signing up as a member during this visit, obviously I didn't and won't. From what I saw no one there that day knows how to do their job.
Saturday started early since I was driving down to Circleville for the gun show and a plate shoot at Pickaway County Sportsmen's ClubLink . Nice drive down just wish the OSU guys would leave the road signs up. Got to shoot the LDA for the first time in a structured match. Thanks to Marshall and the others in the squad for their help and understanding. And thanks Donna and the rest of the guys I didn't get to meet who put on the match. It was a lot of fun. The club has a nice lay out but is smaller than Tusco which I still call my home range.
The next stop was the show. Two building with a roomy lay out. Drew a pretty large crowd. Found some good prices on ammo so I left a little poorer.
Last but not least was the fun shoot at Tusco. Got to meet a fellow TFL'er. Tony, Hope you had fun and make it back next month. At last a day at Tusco that wasn't all rain and mud, so of course I had to end this visit early. Still a good day.
So what did the rest of you guys do this weekend?
