Hey guys! Does anyone know a website with a chart or some type of lookup to get an idea on the price of a certain gun? I understand street prices are stree prices and they changed based on supply and demand but there has to be some place where I can find out how much a gun is worth. I have no particular gun in mind so I can't ask I'd just like to browse guns! Thanks for the replys everyone!:)

If you look through a site like Gunbroker you can get a pretty good idea of street value. The sites tend to run high but that's what an average seller will usually try to sell you at.

Many buy the book Blue Book of Gun Values by Fjestad which runs around $50 now. They also have an online membership deal where you pay a fee to look stuff up. Their prices are only guides as the actual value will likely be different. It gives you an idea though. The book is published yearly and the 2013 edition has just been released.

You can look on Gunbroker website and check closed auction prices on the model you are looking at.

For new guns, Buds in KY is a good place to look. You will find that they tend to be one of the least expensive places to buy guns. Basically you buy a gun from them, pay your money, and they ship to your local FFL dealer for the legal transfer.

www.budsgunshop.com is a pretty good source to find what will probably be the lowest prices on new guns. Lots of gun prices are locally much different. I've found the prices quoted on Buds website to be about as good as I can expect locally and will often be a little cheaper. Other locations may find Buds to be considerably cheaper than they can find stuff locally.

Get on gunbroker, and set up an account. Then, do an advanced search, but select the heading "completed listings." This will show you completed auctions, not what people are asking for, but what people are paying. For a final touch, sort the list by bids, so you have the most bids on top. Then you have a list of what people paid for the gun you are looking for, and how many people bid on the gun. If it's a 0 bid count, then you know people aren't willing to pay that price. It's a great barometer for the actual market price for a gun.
