Weaver vs. Picatinny Rail??

About zip, I understand the Weaver spacing is different and the Picatinny the spacing is ever 1/4 inch or so and sometimes numbered with T for Top, R for Right rail, L for Left and you guessed it B for Bottom.....Now who would have ever figured that out on their own

You can use any Waever style ring on the Picatinny, even ARMS.

Whoops ment 1/4 inches not 14

Picatinny and Weaver will accept the same rings which are usually referred to as weaver style. The picatinny is usually used to describe a mount used by the military that has all the slots at the exact same distances so that you can move or change optics without screwing up the placement. Not a really big difference but if you want to put multiple optics on multiple rifles then the Picatinny is the way to go.

Are you wondering about the Scout M1A forward rail.
Notice the cuts along the top of the reciever and the handgaurd, I also can remove the side and bottom panels of the handgaurd for 3 more rails and get a variety of cover sizes.

And like Rob said, you can which Optic from this one to that one and depending on the mount have no Zero problems. On may VMacth I have an ATN 5X33L in ARM high rings mounted to an ARMS #5 Riser and I can remove and replace it and shoot.

Good Luck

I can bet what your next question is gonna be.....What site to use on a M1A Scout  By the way....I am gonna be ordering more synthetic stocks and Different may want a 2nd one for a Scout as well. I think I will paint up 3 for you guys just in case so all the colors work.

Karsten, you're reading my mind!

I acquired a Trijicon Reflex II 12 MOA with weaver rail mount yesterday. i have mounted it on my flattop BM, and it is pretty nice! Pics coming. a little hard getting used to a dot, rather than a post. I could not get used to my Comp M that i had previously, and sold it off. I thought i would try again, with a non-battery operated sight.

And YES, i do want something that will fit on an M1A scout rail! and YES, Different did show me your work on M1A stocks, and YES PLEASE i would like to purchase one of your custom camo stocks in the near future!!
