Weaver rail for Taurus Tracker?

I have been looking for one but can't find any. I want to take my 357 out hunting and I have such a hard time with irons in low light. I would like to mount a scope but.....I need a base to mount it. From what I can tell I might have to get holes tapped to mount one but I thought I would ask here before I dropped her off at the Smith's. Thanks

The scope mounts from taurus are not for the Tracker, but I think bsquare or brownells have a mount that can be screwed on to the top strap after it has been drilled and tapped

I have been meaning to put one on my 357 tracker, a smith around here has one for around $28 plus 25 to drill and tap

We have one

bu-bye,

Go to the following link and you can see the mount we make for the Taurus. I believe yours would take the -1. It requires drilling and tapping two 6-40 holes in the top strap. This mount has a recoil lug that secures in the rear sight notch and it also nests on the radius of the top strap. It is as secure as it gets.

I hope this helps.

I thought for sure that Taurus made a mount that uses the ventilated rib on the Tracker series to screw on a mount. In fact they tout this in their website for the Raging Bull series and I thought the Tracker as well. I was thinking of getting one of the Tracker 970 .22 LR Trackers. I'm sure I could be wrong too, but call or e-mail Taurus just to be sure before you drill and tap your gun.

I have seen the results of a clamp on mount and what it does to the rib if you ever want to take it off... I would rather have 2 screw holes..

Sorry I was thinking of the 970 and 971, thought they all had vent ribs. Here is a pic of the 970.
