Wear to P228 Frame

I've got a question about wear to a P228's frame. I've noticed that there's a small bit of gouging to the frame rails about 2/3s of thw way to the muzzle. The wear is more on the left than the right. As well there's a nick on the rear right upper shelf of the frame (area around the hammer). The wear on the frame shelf is a small nick that reveals metal (and a long wear strip that starts at there and goes nearly to the end of the shelf). Should I be worried or will this stop once the slide and frame have mated together?

I have seen this on every 228 and 229 with over a couple hundred rounds. I've seen ones with light wear and others with extreme wear. Keep your 228 well lubed especially before range sessions to minimize the wear.
