Weapon Shield lubricant

A lubricant called Weapon Shield has been around awhile, and sounds interesting to me. Before I stock up, are there any long-time users (as in years) who have experienced anything negative about it? For example, does a gun in long term storage with Weapon Shield get rusty, or does the stuff congeal, erode metal, or anything else that would be considered a detraction?

Just checking before I layer My Precious with it.
 
Been using it since it was introduced and free samples given away...on this forum, I believe. I swear by it, great stuff.
 
I have had some for about two years. I know that it
works down to -20F in an AR. I don't ever shoot it at
temps below that.:D
 
i have been using weapon shield on all my S&&W revolvers for a few years..........the ones i shoot and the ones i have in the safe. clean and lubes great. no long term problems at all. keeps all the guns in good condition.
 
Well I have not been using it for a long time yet but for a few months and I think is very good stuff.
George Fennel I think is how it's spelt is really a upfront nice guy.
He was the designer of FP10 until a few yrs ago and now weaponshield.

If you go to there site or E-mail George he will actually answer you every time.
Sometimes it takes a bit but he will get back to you.
I bugged the heck out of him and he's always been great.
There is a lot of tests that have been done on weaponshield so it seems to be proven.
And no I don't work for him or anyone. I just like to say something when I get good customer service.
 
There is some debate about whether the chlorinated esters in it can cause micro-fissures.

From what I've read, it doesn't take very much chlorine to corrode stainless steel, but others, (people who use Eezox and Weaponsheild) have said that they think -

1) The problem is overblown

2) The chlorinated esters in Eezox and Weaponsheild are either such a small amount that they won't harm metal or - they are in solution with other chemicals / lubricants such that they won't harm metal.
 
great stuff! they also make a great synthetic grease that i use on semi slides.
i use militech as a base and weapon shield for day to day lubricant.
very pleased.
 
I used BreakFree for decades and was satisfied with it...till I tried a free sample of WeaponShield...Now, WS is all I want.
 
There is no CHLORINATED ESTERS in weaponshield what so ever.

Just thought you might want to know that.

And it works on stainless very well. It won't harm it in any way only make it better.

Essox and Militec 1 has Esters in it I believe.
